The rules changed on 1 May 2026. A lot of landlords are still catching up.

England's private rented sector now runs under the Renters' Rights Act 2025. New required documents. New processes. New timelines. And the responsibility to get it right without a solicitor on speed dial.

Is my old tenancy agreement still usable after the Renters' Rights Act changes, or do I need to start again?
I know I need a Written Statement of Tenancy Terms — but I don't know exactly what it has to include.
My tenancy started before 1 May 2026. What do I need to give the tenant now — and how do I prove I did it?
A tenant has asked for a pet. I have 28 days to respond in writing, and I don't have a process for that.
If I had to prove what I sent, signed or recorded tomorrow, I'd be searching through emails and folders.

GOV.UK gives you the rules. LandlordRadar gives you the paperwork system to act on them.

The official guidance tells you what must be in place. It doesn't hand you a ready-to-use set of templates, trackers and logs for running your tenancy day to day. That's what LandlordRadar is for.

60-Minute Setup Guide

Step-by-step guide to build the landlord property file in one session.

Built for peace of mind. A system, not just templates.

Here is how LandlordRadar helps self-managing landlords organise their tenancy records and day-to-day compliance workflow.

Solicitor-Reviewed for Standard Tenancies

Key templates have been solicitor-reviewed for use as self-help materials with standard single-let residential tenancies in England. The pack is designed for routine paperwork and record-keeping — not bespoke legal advice, and not a substitute for advice on your specific situation.

60-Minute Organisation

Includes the 60-Minute Landlord File Setup Guide. Create a structured property folder, organise existing documents, build a document index, identify missing records, and set up ongoing logs in one practical session.

One-Off Payment

No recurring membership required for the main Compliance File Pack. Pay once, download the files, and use them for your own property records. Annual update cover is available separately for landlords who want revised files when the pack is updated.

Why not just use GOV.UK, NRLA, or a solicitor?

They each serve a purpose. Here's where LandlordRadar fits.

GOV.UK

Essential for the official rules and guidance. But it doesn't provide a ready-to-use set of editable tenancy documents. It tells you what must be in place — not how to build the day-to-day paperwork system around it.

NRLA and membership bodies

A good route if you're already a member. If you're not, some resources require joining first — and membership carries an ongoing cost. No membership is needed here.

A solicitor

The right route for unusual or contested situations, and for anything that requires professional legal judgment. For core tenancy paperwork on a standard single-let, some landlords prefer a more direct route.

LandlordRadar

A practical self-help system for standard situations. Not a membership, not a consultation — just the templates, trackers and guides, ready to download and use.

What landlords say

Common questions

Is this right for me?
This is designed for self-managing private landlords with standard single-let residential properties in England. It's not designed for HMOs, company lets, lodger arrangements, short lets, or other non-standard situations.
What do I receive after purchase, and how do I access the files?
After payment, Lemon Squeezy (our checkout provider) gives you instant access to a ZIP download containing the Compliance File Pack files, including 28 customer documents plus the README and Terms of Use — editable Word (.docx) templates, Excel (.xlsx) trackers, and plain-English guides. You also receive a download link by email. No account or membership is required to access the files.
Does the pack cover the Renters' Rights Act 2025?
Yes. The documents are built around current English landlord law and GOV.UK guidance as at May 2026, including the changes that came into force on 1 May 2026.
I already have a tenancy agreement. Do I still need this?
If your existing tenancy agreement was written before May 2026, it may not reflect the current regime. The Written Statement of Tenancy Terms is a separate requirement from the tenancy agreement itself. This pack gives you both, alongside the supporting records and trackers.
Have other landlords used this?
Yes. Earlier LandlordRadar landlord packs have already been purchased by self-managing landlords. This v2.0 Compliance File Pack is the updated May 2026 version, rebuilt for the Renters' Rights Act 2025.
What does “Solicitor-Reviewed” mean?
“Solicitor-reviewed” means key documents in this pack have been reviewed by a qualified solicitor for use as self-help materials for standard single-let residential tenancies in England. It does not mean LandlordRadar provides legal advice on your specific situation, and it does not create a solicitor-client relationship. For non-standard, contested, urgent or high-risk situations, seek qualified advice from a solicitor qualified in England and Wales.
What format are the documents in?
Templates are editable Word (.docx) files. Trackers are Excel (.xlsx) files. Reference documents and guides are Word or plain text. Everything is ready to download, fill in and save.
Can I use this for multiple properties?
Yes. One purchase covers personal use across your own properties. It is not licensed for redistribution, resale or use by letting agents on behalf of clients.
What's the difference between the one-off pack and the update cover?
The one-off pack gives you the current documents. Legislation Update Cover means you receive updated files if LandlordRadar revises the pack following legislative changes. The core documents are the same in both.
What if I'm not satisfied?
If you have a problem with your purchase, contact us and we'll help. Refund requests are handled under our Refund Policy.
Is this legal advice?
No. LandlordRadar provides self-help templates and practical guides, not legal advice. For non-standard situations, contested matters, or anything requiring professional judgment, seek qualified legal advice.
What about Scotland and Wales?
This pack is for England only. Landlord law in Scotland and Wales operates under different legislation and is not covered here.
Can I get a receipt for tax purposes?
Yes. Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor) issues a receipt automatically to your email address after purchase.
