This page explains how LandlordRadar collects and uses personal data when visitors:
- browse the website;
- request a free checklist or guide;

LandlordRadar provides self-help templates and practical guides for self-managing private landlords in England. This page is written in plain English and aims to make our data practices clear.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:
- Contact details — such as your email address when you request a free checklist, your name and email if you contact us for support, or any other information you choose to send us.
- Order and purchase details — your name, billing address, order items, transaction reference and other information needed to process a purchase. Payment processing is handled by our checkout provider (see "Third-party services" below).
- Support messages — the content of emails or messages you send us.
- Website usage data — pages visited, time on page, device and browser information, and similar analytics data collected through Google Tag Manager and connected analytics tools.
- Campaign and source data — UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term, content) and similar tracking parameters that show how you arrived at the site, used to measure marketing performance.
- Form context — which form a signup came from (for example, compact or full lead magnet form) and which lead magnet was requested.

Email marketing and free downloads
If you request a free checklist or guide, we use your email address to send the download link and occasional practical emails from LandlordRadar.
We may ask you to confirm your email address before sending the download or follow-up emails. This is to make sure the email belongs to you and to reduce spam signups.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. If you unsubscribe, you will stop receiving marketing emails but we may still send transactional messages related to a purchase you have made (such as receipts or product updates for paid subscribers).
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to run the website and deliver our products:
MailerLite
We use MailerLite for email signup forms, double opt-in confirmation, automated email sequences, newsletters and managing subscriber groups and tags. Email addresses and signup data are stored in MailerLite under their own systems and privacy practices.
Lemon Squeezy
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. They handle checkout, payment processing, VAT and sales tax where applicable, receipts and digital product delivery. We do not store full card details on this website. Your payment information is handled under Lemon Squeezy's own systems and policies.
Google Tag Manager and connected analytics or advertising tools
We use Google Tag Manager to manage analytics and marketing measurement tools. These may include website analytics and advertising performance measurement. See the Cookie Policy for more detail.
Hosting provider
The website is hosted by our hosting provider, which processes standard server logs in the course of delivering the website.
Lawful basis for using personal data
We rely on different lawful bases depending on how we use your information:
- Consent — for email marketing and optional free download follow-up emails where you have signed up and can unsubscribe at any time.
- Contract — to deliver purchased products, receipts, downloads and subscription access.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to support messages, improve our website and understand marketing performance, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation — to keep records needed for accounting, tax and legal record-keeping.
International transfers
Some of the third-party services we use may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards provided by those service providers, such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for website functionality, analytics, advertising measurement and checkout or tracking purposes. See our Cookie Policy for more information about which cookies we use and how to manage them.
How long we keep information
- Email subscribers — kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Customer and order records — kept for as long as needed for support, accounting, tax and legal record-keeping obligations.
- Support messages — kept for a reasonable period to manage customer service history.
- Analytics data — retained according to the settings of the relevant analytics provider.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
